About JamesWells.co.uk

I've had the Jameswells.co.uk domain for some years now, but mostly i've used it for personal file hosting, email and so on. Recently I've begun to develop this website, but it is still very much in its construction stages. It's built using PHP, HTML and CSS

The layout is about 95% finalized, though I'm not happy with the top banner part yet. I've built the site using a "modular" approach, so that elements that are repeated on each page are defined once, and then inserted where necessary. This makes it much easier to update content on the site.

A lot of what I have to finish is behind-the-scenes things, such as the PHP system to upload my photographs, insert them into the database and generate thumbnails for them so they can be browsed via this site.

Some of the other things I have in mind for it include a system where you can order printed copies of my photographs, advice sections on photography and digital cameras, and a section about the various computing projects that I've worked on so far.
