All about James Wells

Hello!

This part of the site is to tell you a little bit about myself. My name as you might have guessed is James Wells. I am a 24 years old, and I graduated with a Bachelors of Engineering in Software Engineering from Staffordshire University I 2004.

I was born in Doncaster where I have lived for most of my life, and I then moved to Stafford for university and up to York after graduation. At the moment I am looking to stay in and around the York area, but this depends on factors such as jobs etc.

In terms of my working life I've worked in Web Development and IT Support for a while, so I have excellent skills in Supporting Windows (95 through to XP) desktops, laptops, and Windows and Linux servers. I've also done quite a bit of web development using PHP, HTML and CSS, the skills from which I've used in the construction of this website.

When I'm not busy working, my main hobby is Digital Photography, which is the focus of this website. I try to travel to new places as often as I can in order to find new things to photograph and new scenes to capture. One of the best countries that I've found for photographs is Switzerland, because it has a wonderful selection of lakes, rivers, mountains, snow, and is also vastly different from the kind of places that I have lived in the UK.

My other hobbies include reading Science Fiction books and fiddling with most areas of technology or computing.
